In practice

Inside the classroom

Most days, our education work is quietly ordinary: a child with a book to open, a teacher with the materials to teach, and a family that no longer has to choose between schooling and getting by.

Why it matters

Education is the one investment that compounds. A child kept in school this year is far more likely to stay next year — and to pass that expectation on to the children who come after.

How you can help

A modest gift covers books, educational materials or teachers' salaries, often the exact gap between a child staying in school and quietly dropping out.

All causes

For many of the children we work with, school is the first realistic chance at a different kind of future — and the first thing a tight household budget tends to give up. Our aim is to remove the small, practical barriers that quietly push children out of the classroom.

That means meeting families where they are: helping the youngest children get a steady start, keeping older students enrolled when money is tight, and making sure a lack of books, uniforms or a quiet place to study never becomes the reason a promising student stops.

What this looks like

  • Early-years and primary learning support
  • Scholarships that carry students through secondary school
  • Books, materials and a safe place to study
  • Steady encouragement for families to keep children enrolled
