Bluebell School began, like much of our education work, with whatever shelter was at hand — an open-air blackboard, a tin-roofed hut, a borrowed room. In November 2018 it gained something more lasting: a new, purpose-built school building, inaugurated with the whole community looking on.

A solid building changes what a school can promise. Lessons no longer stop for the weather. Children have a place that is unmistakably theirs, and families can see that their children's education is here to stay.
The new building is one step in a longer commitment — keeping the door to education open for every child in Balagram, whatever their family can afford.
